Joanna Głażewska

Graduate of the Faculty of Painting and Drawing at the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.
She grew up in Upper Silesia, where her artistic identity, individual taste, and distinct perception of the world were shaped. She currently lives and creates in Warsaw, and more recently also in her idyllic retreat in the Masurian countryside.

Her expressive art is characterized by a deep sensitivity to color, a clear inspiration drawn from both the harmony and the raw forces of nature, as well as by an exploration of the inner world of the individual — an element that adds another dimension to her works. The fundamental language of Głażewska’s art includes line, rhythm, light, strong geometry, and a deliberate, bold juxtaposition of form and color. Her paintings take on abstract forms, yet the artist carefully organizes the elements within the space of each work. She paints with acrylics on canvas, using complex techniques she has developed over the years — methods that often evolve with every layer of paint.

The unique and engaging nature of Joanna Głażewska’s art makes her works sought after and highly appreciated by art lovers. They find their way into companies, institutions, and private collections of discerning collectors from Poland, Switzerland, the UAE, Slovenia, Germany, and the USA. Her works also regularly appear at selected auctions, exhibitions, and in prestigious audiovisual productions of various genres and formats.

Her works can be viewed on this website, on Instagram, Facebook, and in her Warsaw studio.
